Mustard Seed uses the fundamental teachings of Applied Behavior Analysis to guide its evidence-based approach.  

A behavior technician will work 1:1 with your child with the guidance and support of a professional and experience BCBA.

The BCBA will develop a program individualized for your child based on extensive evaluations to determine what goals and strategies will be used. All this with the collaboration of the caregivers. 

Evaluations are based on:

• Interviews with caregivers
• Observations in a variety of settings
• Assessments based on the child's age and need.

We use a Natural Environment Teaching (NET) approach, which means skills are taught during everyday activities and real-life routines. Learning happens during play, mealtime, community outings, and daily interactions—where it matters most.

At Mustard Seed, we specialize in natural teaching to support children in developing communication, social, and self-management skills. Our behavior therapists work with children to improve their communication skills, independent skills, and coping abilities. The therapist allows the child to lead while building communication and social adaptation. With the full support of a BCBA, our team members address the barriers each individual faces.
